Word has been made official that a brand new slider from Samsung, entitled the Sway SCH -u650, will make its way to Verizon.

The Samsung SCH-u650 Sway will be a typical run-of-the-mill

slider, clocking in at 0.47-inches thick and sporting a 2.2-inch display. Also featured on the phone is a 2MP camera along with a bunch of preinstalled software like IM, a personal organizer, and a web browser. The phone’s battery at full juice is expected to pump out 270 minutes of standard talk-time, or 312 hours of standby.

Samsung’s new slider u650 will be available on Verizon come October 14th for $69.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate, with a 2 year contract of course.

Besides the INNOV8 i850 which packs an 8 megapixel camera, Samsung has another 8 megapixel camera phone ready to be launched later this year. The Samsung Bresson M8800 is the handset I am talking about and it’s said to be launched on September 25th.

The 8 megapixel camera is said to be as good as any other camera available. Besides

the camera, the future Bresson will sport a 3.2 16 million touchscreen HD LCD, GPS mapping, 3G via HSDPA, music capabilities and office interaction applications.

No details on pricing or availability have been leaked so far. But there’s plenty of time for us to discover more details

Earlier today, we posted several leaked photos of the Palm Treo Pro. Well, less than a day later live shots of the phone have hit the web.

As you can see above the Palm Treo Pro is an extremely sleek looking phone running none other than Windows Mobile. But what do we know so far in regards to it’s specs?

More a mystery than a leak, we really don’t know much about this device other than what we presume is its codename “Rose.” May be HTC knows how to run a tight ship unlike Sony Ericsson and its constant slip-ups. Whether this

points to the fabled Android-powered device or another Windows Mobile 6.1 push-over is anybody’s guess right now. The only thing certain looks to be its availability almost everywhere when and if it does get released. But now that Bluetooth SIG has given up a name, it won’t be long before our sniffers get to the bottom of this flowery conundrum!

Ok. let’s not get crazy here people! Let’s not get excited about an AT&T announcement or rumor only to find out later it was just a human error.

AT&T has 3G in the labs working at a speed of 7.2 megabits per second which is about double the theoretical achievable speed on current networks. By 2009 they want to deliver an amazing

20 megabits per second. That would be really cool and really fast. But is it doable?

Whenever a new smartphone gets released we would all like to get as many details as possible about what it does and when it will be available. We also would like to see as many pictures as possible. We’d like to have our own hands on those models but in the mean time we can offer you other people’s experience.

FCC has recently approved the LG VX8560 Cellular/PCS CDMA Phone with Bluetooth and EvDO. The VX8560 is a flip phone. Nothing much is revealed about the cell phone. Hopefully, it will replace the VX8700. Well, we have just got the FCC certification label pic. We will update as it gets official.

I am still in awe after what I’ve been reading and writing about the brand new RIM creation. I am talking about the BlackBerry 9000. The Bold. Possibly one of the worthiest adversary of the future 3G iPhone. Besidest those two, there’s also HTC Touch Diamond, which has to be mentioned out of fairness to the game. And this one will also have their piece of the pie as it’s an outstanding piece of engineering.

According to rumors the future of RIM is even brighter. The BlackBerry 9500 Thunder is coming to town. It’s the next generation of BlackBerries. All touch and no keyboard (I hope purchase of an additional keyboard is going to be an option). What will the Touch do? Well it will be served by Verizon WIreless in the USA and by Vodafone in Europe. What will it deliver? 3G EV-DO Rev. C / GSM HSPA support, everything else and more! That’s about all the details we have for now but we’ll be here to mark more specs down when Touch becomes available later on this year.

Sony Ericsson has released another phone into the Japanese market. Here is a brief introduction to the Sony Ericsson W62S Phone.

The Sony Ericsson W62S Phone is a global roaming clamshell phone. Its features include a 2-megapixel camera, WQVGA (432Г—240) screen, and microSD slot. It also comes in with three stylish colors, namely the Silver-Leather, Black-Rose and White-Lime.

Lastly, the

W62S supports KDDI’s EV-DO service, CDMA 1X WIN and international roaming service in over 180 countries. It has a micro card slot expandable to 2GB and the W62S offers 240 minutes of continuous calling.

With a unique bendable attachment base that you can use with pretty much any surface (either on your laptop or your desktop), it comes in a convenient size so you can carry it around.

The LifeCam VX-5000 webcam has a colored ring around the front of the

webcam, available in Cool Blue, Lucky Green and Fire Red. It comes with MSN Photo Swap, allowing you to share photos during a video conversation. The other two models are affordable ones: the VX-500 is your basic webcam while the LX-2000 features a full-size headset.
