Rumored: HTC to Announce Touch Diamond

Tuesday, May 6th, HTC invited London at 11:30AM (if you are in the neighborhood) to “witness the next wave of HTC Innovation”. I wonder what they are preparing to release as in the mean time we have found this leaked photos and following specs which might match an all new Touch Diamond smart phone.

AT&T Disables Free WiFi at Starbucks

Earlier this week I was telling you guys how iPhone users are favored (of course!) by AT&T. How does did this carrier show his love? By granting free WiFi access at Starbucks or Barnes and Nobles locations to all iPhone. Smart non-iPhone owners have found a way around that for getting that free internet connection. By simply switching their mobile internet browser to Mobile Safari they had at least a couple of days of free access.

iPhone’s Official Launch in India

Apple’s iPhone is supposed to be launched in India somewhere in September 2008. This isn’t breaking news but since I have been covering different countries today and their cell phone endeavors, I thought it’s worth mentioning.

Rumored: Sprint to be Acquired by Deutsche Telekom

Deutsche Telekom is said to be the third carrier to enter an already difficult combination like Sprint taking over Nextel. This is just a rumor yet picked up from the German paper Die Spiegel. According to it Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile USA are preparing for such a merger. Official talks haven’t started yet but we will be covering that too.
