Garmin nuvi 650, nuvi 660FM and nuvi 600 GPS

Garmin showcases their new nuvi 600 series widescreen GPS devices at the CeBit electronics trade show today. Navigation is made easy to get from point A to point B whether you are in your car or in pedestrian mode. You get turn-by-turn, voice prompted directions to make navigation simple. The 600 series feature a large 4.3″ touchscreen. The devices also include many of the same features that made the nuvi name popular.

Offered in the Garmin nuvi 650 device are applications including Garmin Travel Guide, Garmin Language Guide, and Garmin SaversGuide. All guides are optional and available through an Sd card. The applications provide useful information such as restaurant and hotel reviews/recommendations, language translations in five different languages, a geo-coded “coupon book” which tells users about discounts from nearby businesses including auto repair shops, hotels, restaurants, etc. It is lacking in standard real-time traffic info, but is available with an optional traffic reciever. The nuvi 650 comes preloaded maps of either North America or over 30 countries in Europe. The Garmin nuvi 600 is a regionalized version of the nuvi 650 which is only available in Europe.

The Garmin nuvi 660FM users will benefit with its integrated FM transmitter. The FM transmitter allows the device to transmit voice guidance, MP3, and phone calls through the vechicle own speakers.Other useful features include integrated traffic receiver to avoid traffic delays and Bluetooth Technology to allow hands-free cellular phone calls.

The new nuvi 600/650/660FM GPS devices should be available sometime in April.
