While the 5320 XpressMusic looks poised to be the flagship model in Nokia’s musicphone lineup, the 5220 XpressMusic seems destined to fill the low-end gap in the same line. Nokia aims to cater the budget minded music aficionado with the 5220 but with an unusual and fancy-looking design, which it calls “symmetric.” Other than the lanyard, there is also a much-welcomed 3.5mm audio jack and the
semi-hi-fi audio chip that is also used in the 5320. The phone offers up a staggering 24 hours of nonstop playback, which is great for those long trips on the subway or just a lazy afternoon of soothing soul.
The 5220 XpressMusic phone is expected to retail at $255 and will be available in the third quarter of 2008.
