Yahoo Go! 3.0 beta for Windows Mobile

Posted by Jana Williamson on May 10th, 2008  Print This Post

In addition to warding off Microsoft’s advances towards a takeover, Yahoo seems to have got some work done on its Yahoo Go! with several improvements over the previous version 2.0 for the Windows Mobile platform, which was disappointing to say the least.

The application’s user interface has undergone a overhaul and there is

now full support for widgets aimed at providing information on the go. There is now an integrated at-a-glance Yahoo screen and improved oneSearch feature along with a comely Web 2.0-like feel and navigation to the application. All the data is stored in a “cloud” for easy retrieval on any other web-enabled device and since this would mean heavy data transfers, it would help if you had an unlimited data plan.

Go ahead and snatch it here if you own a Windows Mobile-powered device. I have tested it on a HTC Touch and it doesn’t seem that bad.
